The thing we love about designing for print is that it always starts with a blank piece of paper.
That’s the creative in us. We love fresh opportunities to surprise, wow, compel and entertain customers. From press and poster advertising to brochures, exhibition graphics and stationery, print design gives us just that.
There are some books you should judge by their covers.
Brochures are wonderful things. Well, we like to think the ones we do are anyway.
They give customers something they can touch, feel, take away and hold on to. They engage, inform, excite and, when done well, they sell.
With every turn of the page comes a fresh opportunity to inspire the reader. But we know that the first turn is the most important. So we carefully consider textures, colours and images to create covers that entice people inside. Then we think about the customer’s journey, and deliberately change the pace of our design to stop and motivate people at key points.
We produce exhibition graphics that are as big as our ideas.
Designing exhibition stands is all about creating brand experiences with real impact. Large format exhibition graphics can do just that. At Ripe we’ve created hugely impactful exhibition graphics in all kinds of sizes for all kinds of clients, helping to make many our stands ‘best in show’. We don’t just produce large format graphics to work indoors. We’re also rather good at creating large format graphics that work outdoors too, and have produced the UK’s largest hoarding, stretching over a mile long.
We create stationery spelt with an ‘e’ not an ‘a’, as our clients rarely stand still.
The paper industry is always moving, with new papers appearing day in, day out.
The paper industry is fascinating. Okay, it’s not exactly rock n’ roll, but it’s amazing how many new papers, stocks and technologies appear day in, day out. At Ripe we make it our job to know the very latest innovations and work closely with a number of leading paper suppliers to do so. We do this because we want to give our clients every chance to have stationery that not only fits their brand, but also stands out in a wallet full of business cards.
When we design stationery, we look at everything, from business cards to compliment slips, to letterheads and continuation paper, ensuring complete brand consistency. And, wherever possible we encourage our clients to use stocks that are kind to the environment.
People buy brands first, products second.
At Ripe we think that there are few things more powerful than a strong brand. Your brand is the essence of who you are, what you stand for and what you have to offer. It will, more than anything else, dictate what type of customers you attract. A hundred brands means a hundred choices. But the bad news is, there are many more than a hundred brands out there vying for your customers.
For your brand to succeed it must be relevant, credible, honest and individual. But most importantly, it must be consistent. And that’s where we come in. We are experts in brand creation, bringing existing brands to life, and coming up with entertaining and engaging experiences that speak to customers in a consistent brand voice across everything we do.
Before we create your brand voice, we find out who you’ll be talking to.
All too often brands try to say all kinds of things to all kinds of people. But unless you know exactly who you are talking to and how they want to be talked to, how can you speak their language?
When we create new brand identities we find out exactly who your potential new customers are and, crucially, we listen to them. We find out how they want to be communicated with, what values they buy into, what their aspirations are, and which other brand names regularly feature on their credit card statements.
It’s only then that we can we go about creating a logo and a set of brand values to appeal directly to your potential customers, and create a set of brand guidelines to ensure complete brand consistency across all types of media.
What does your brand mean to people? Really? Are you sure?
At Ripe, when we want to find out what a brand really means to people, the last people we ask are the marketing team and brand managers.
Instead we go straight to your customers. We ask the people who buy into your brand with their hard earned cash why they do so. We find out who they are, what your brand means to them, how it makes them feel, and why. Then we use those learnings to create memorable, fully-integrated communications across website design & online marketing, exhibition & in-store, print design and new media to bring added value to your brand values.
