V&A Waterfront, Cape Town
Now over 15 years old the V&A Waterfront is world renowned as a global exemplar waterfront development project. Purchased by Nakheel in 2005 the V&A is Africa’s most visited destination with 22 million visitors a year. Ripe have been involved with developing the V&A brand since its inception. The brand mark is based on the historic trading vessels of the Dutch East India that frequently docked in the Cape to replenish their supplies and rest their sailors.
The identity has worked successfully as the umbrella place brand and under that we have created and managed sub brands for the developer managed V&A hotel, residential marina, conference and convention facilities with all retail, restaurant and other leisure elements operating under the main destination V&A Waterfront brand.
